Robert Lelkes
Registered Patent Attorney
Mr. Lelkes is an experienced patent attorney and he has represented clients in the US and Europe in a range of complex IP matters. He provides counsel in strategic IP decisions, negotiating and drafting contracts and carrying out IP due diligence and freedom-to-operate advice. He represents companies in all stages, including general advice for start-ups that lack in-house counsel.

The son of European emigrants, Mr. Lelkes was born in the U.S. where he graduated with degrees in chemistry and law. He was employed for many years as an attorney at law and patent attorney in the US and Switzerland before he decided to settle in Germany in 2004.
Representative Matters
Successful Revocation of EU Patent Rights
Obtained complete revocation of a European patent that was blocking commercialization of
improved epoxy coatings for the aerospace industry. Prior to revocation, the challenger demanded
EUR 5 million for a license. After revocation, the challenger abandoned all its patents on that
technology worldwide.
