Aaron Perez-Daple
Registered Patent Attorney
Aaron Perez-Daple is an experienced, first-chair trial lawyer and a seasoned negotiator. He regularly assists his clients to obtain good outcomes in complex negotiations. Mr. Perez-Daple has represented clients at trial in federal district court, before the International Trade Commission (“ITC”), on appeal, and in private arbitration.
Having seen how disputes actually play out in court provides Mr. Perez-Daple with a valuable perspective for helping his clients to evaluate risk and negotiate good results. Mr. Perez-Daple has obtained millions in licensing fees for his clients. He has also helped his clients avoid paying licensing fees when the requests were unreasonable.
Mr. Perez-Daple helps his clients to develop IP strategies that are aligned with their business and that protect against the risks of litigation.
Mr. Perez-Daple holds a degree in Applied & Engineering Physics, having graduated magna cum laude from Cornell University, and he has worked with a range of advanced technologies including:

Mr. Perez-Daple started his career in Intellectual Property at the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office, where he was an Examiner in computer networking and artificial intelligence. After graduating from law school, he worked for top litigation law firms, where he represented clients in major litigations in district court and the ITC. He has taken and defended over 100 depositions and been to trial 5 times. He has never lost at trial (past results do not guarantee future success).
When Mr. Perez-Daple isn’t working, he enjoys travel, wine, photography, and martial arts.
Representative Matters
Finjan v. Symantec Corp., et al.
Developed trial strategy resulting in complete victory for his client, Symantec, in a patent case implicating all of Symantec’s anti-virus products. The jury concluded that both asserted patents were invalid and not infringed. Symantec faced over $1 billion of potential liability.
